3. Client Responsibilities
To ensure accurate and timely service, you agree to:
- Provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date information
- Submit required documents in a timely manner
- Respond to requests for clarification when needed
- Review filings, reports, or submissions before approval (where applicable)
We are not responsible for errors, penalties, or delays resulting from incomplete, incorrect, or late information provided by the client.
4. Communication & Approvals
You are responsible for reviewing all documents, filings, and communications provided to you.
Approval (written or implied) may be required before submission to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) or other authorities.
5. Fees and Payment
- Fees will be communicated and agreed upon before work begins
- Payment terms will be outlined in your invoice or agreement
- Late or unpaid invoices may result in delays or suspension of services
All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
6. Use of Third-Party Software
We use trusted third-party platforms (such as TaxDome, QuickBooks, and Sage) to deliver our services.
By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Your information may be stored and processed within these platforms
- These platforms have their own terms and privacy policies
- We are not responsible for service interruptions or issues caused by third-party providers
7. Confidentiality
We treat all client information as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except:
- As required to provide services (e.g., filing with the CRA)
- When required by law
We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
NovaLine Bookkeeping is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, penalties, or interest.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the services in question.
9. No Guarantee of Outcomes
While we strive for accuracy and compliance, we do not guarantee specific outcomes, including:
- Tax refunds or savings
- CRA decisions or assessments
- Financial results or business performance
10. Compliance with Laws
You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including tax obligations.
We provide support and guidance but do not assume responsibility for your legal compliance beyond the services performed.
11. Service Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services if:
- Payment terms are not met
- Required information is not provided
- There is misuse or abuse of our services
You may terminate services at any time, subject to payment for work completed.
12. Website Use
You agree not to:
- Use this website for unlawful purposes
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
- Disrupt or interfere with website functionality
13. Intellectual Property
